It’s apple time again and soon I will be canning another batch of fresh apple sauce. The only problem is that I still have several jars down in my pantry. The solution it seems it to use up some jars! What a perfect time to make some Apple Smothered Pork Chops.
What better way than to smother some freshly grilled pork chops with it and make it a sweet and savoury meat sauce!
Nothing goes better together than pork and apples. They are the perfect marriage of sensory bliss!
This recipe is easy to mix up the flavours with a different set of spices. It’s a great way to be creative and see what you can come up with.
These Apple Smothered Pork Chops are a quick and easy weeknight meal.
Perfect for when you are in a rush and need a quick idea.
They go great with many sides such as rice, mac and cheese, roasted potatoes and much more.

- 6 each Pork chops of your preferred cut
- ½ tsp sea salt
- ¼ tsp fresh ground pepper
- 1 tsp Herb and garlic seasoning
- 1 cup Applesauce
- ¼ cup half and half cream
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- Season both sides of the Pork Chops well with the herb and garlic, salt and pepper
- Let rest at room temperature while heating up the grill
- Grill on high heat until juices run clear
- Combine applesauce, butter and cream and smother over cooked pork chops
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
