Welcome to “The Cozee Home” and thanks for visiting! This site is my way of sharing with you “my guests” a way to connect with “home” in such a busy, business driven world we live in today. I do not claim to be an expert on the ideas I share. I am a mom who values the comforts of home and the importance of providing that for family. It is my goal to share with you ways that we can all strive to achieve that with simple recipes, easy projects and ideas to make your home a place of comfort to relax and embrace it’s warmth.
I am a self taught cook and baker who watched many hours of the food network. I enjoy spending my time in the kitchen getting creative and I totally LOVE feeding people. Cooking from scratch gives me a satisfaction that I am doing something for my family to benefit their comfort, well-being and health. Okay so the baking isn’t always for their health but still waaaay better than buying prepackaged treats full of preservatives and who knows what else!
I am an “in progress ” learner for sewing but my mom is an amazing quilter who I am fortunate to have as a resource. I knit because I feel like sitting doing nothing is a waste of time and I absolutely love the cosy things that can be made with my own hands. Patience has been a challenge for me in knitting though because I get too excited to see the end result! Whether it’s a pair of slippers to a thick warm blanket, a handmade knit project is like putting on a hug.
If you could sum up my perfect place of comfort it would be reading by water. I am an avid reader always chasing that next great book to sweep me up and away. I love a great a book to learn from but I also enjoy an escape to Nantucket Island with some juicy drama once in awhile! Because of this, you never see me go ANYWHERE without my KOBO H2O. It has been the absolute best invention! I can read anywhere and never worry about getting that “oops I dropped my book in the bathtub and now it’s looks like A copy of War and Peace!” I won’t deny my sinful pleasure is floating around on a hot summer day in my pool lounger totally engrossed in a book; however, more often it is that I spend a lot of time waiting for my kids as their personal chauffeur. Waiting… and waiting… and waiting. You will never see me complain about that. I just pull out my KOBO and hope they take a little longer.
AHHH…
