These shortbreads are so ridiculously easy! If you use a ceramic shortbread pan, you don’t even have to wash the pan! Literally brush out the crumbs when you are done and give it a wipe with a wet paper towel. Remember the ratio of 2, 2, and, 1/2 and you won’t even need to get out your recipe. 2 sticks of butter, 2 cups of flour and 1/2 cup of sugar. Mix them together and form it in your pan. 5 minutes to prepare and 20 minutes to bake. Once you give this a try, you will find that shortbreads aren’t only for Christmas, but are a quick and easy treat anytime of year. Enjoy!
5 Minute Shortbread
The easiest shortbread recipe for any time of the year!
Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter, 1 cup
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
Instructions
- Mix together 3 ingredients in a large mixing bowl with hands
- Form into a ceramic shortbread pan
- Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 20-25 minutes
- Remove from oven and run spatula around edges of the pan
- Put a plate over the shortbread pan and gently flip
- Carefully remove shortbread pan
- Cut with a pizza cutter along formed lines to make individual shortbread triangles.
- Repeat with a second pan and enjoy!
